Extremely unusual and elegant TV Lamp dating from the'50s. I believe this to be a capodimonte lamp, but it is not stamped. The capodimonte clues are the high quality ceramic, the use of gold gilt, and the capodimante-style roses at the base. This lamp has two lovely cranes facing each other and seated, with their gold gilt enhanced wings unfurled. The lamp is graced with gold gilt ceramic sea grasses and pink and green roses at the waters edge. The lamp's switch is on the plug. It emits a very low light. In excellent vintage condition with one slight crack in the middle front between the flowers (see picture).
The crack does not go through all the way down to the base. The piece is 16 wide by 12 tall and 5 wide. I have searched numerous sites and could not find anything similar to the quality and beauty of this piece.
